Am a born of lango and specifically apac district. Although i have been out of uganda for close to 20 years now. I would like to let my people know that i intend to lift up their head again and run for the presidency of the country. Very soon a new political party shall be born to represent and integrate the interest of all Ugandans. The division and disintegration in the UPC is a loss of direction for the people of Uganda. The FDC being a brain child of NRM cannot be be an agent of any great change because only its name is different just like me and my brother, but we share the same blood. Its time the people of Uganda votes for a young leader, someone dynamic and willing to bridge the generation gap in ugandan politic. Am 34 years old, educated, well mannered, politically and diplomatically experienced. I have the love of my people at heart and as early as January 2010 Ugandans must count with one more political party with a briliant leader. Young and in-charge

Glory to God for this very great achievement. The opening of ASUL is vividly the greatest thing that has happened in the Lango sub-region in the last 25 years.I am one person who feel greatly grieved to see that the majority of my kinsmen in Lira go to drink after work hours. In others many towns in Uganda, most civil servants/workers go to study after offfice hours or during weekend. With the University now available in Lira ,I am sure many people will spend time studying after work hours or weekends instead of going on a drinking spree.I encouarge the University authorities to design many tailor made courses to cater for the interest of part time students.

Hi, i do see what the problem here is all about, well i do not understand why land can not be provided for projects like this, its for the better of the community.

So does this also mean that if i was to try and buy Land in order to open up my HQ in Lira, i am more than likely to not get it??

For example, as far as my research for years, i do find that people from the North are not well catered for, i was thinking of investing Billions in Lira and other Northern regions as well, this would bring this region up very fast and my vision of Lira and the surrounding is to be more like a trading centre of Uganda, similar to some European Countries,

To be able to give Modern Apprenticeship/trainings for people of the North, working as International traders and buyers among others jobe. provide public transports, water systems, Hydroelectricity, better roads, sewer systems, cheaper internet/digital TV/phones (Cable).

Developments of Schools (New Universities, Secondary, Primary, Nursery, this would also include some findings from here in UK/EU and US.

Opening Development Banks for Farmers (Non profit organization)

Business Banking/Personal.

Obviously all the above would be controlled from the UK to make sure every one gets a share.

So my questions is, to bring such projects to benefit the North, is it so wrong to do so? If Land can not be provided, this needs to change.

MJPC blames the Congolese Government for the Deteriorating Situation in East Congo(DRC)

"There is no excuse for missing to pay salaries to soldiers in a lawless eastern Congo for six months"

Following the deteriorating situation in east Congo, the MJPC called today for the Congolese Government to urgently pay the salaries to thousands of soldiers who have not been paid for over six months in eastern Congo, take swift action to enforce the International Criminal Court's (ICC) warrant against Bosco Ntaganda and to hold accountable perpetrators of sexual violence against women for their acts.

Mr. Sekombo again criticized the government of Congo for not only the continuing failure to protect women and young girls from sexual violence, but also for "encouraging conditions that create opportunities for sexual violence to occur". "There is no excuse for missing to pay salaries to soldiers in a lawless eastern Congo for six months" said Sekombo.

The MJPC has also renewed its call for the Congolese government to take urgent needed action to end human rights abuses in east Congo, hold perpetrators accountable and ensure reparation for the victims of sexual violence.
