Peace will hold in Northern Uganda – Museveni

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has warned that UPDF armies are on high alert with full capacity to crash the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) rebels if they attempt to return to Uganda with a motive of disrupting and terrorizing Northern Uganda again.

Mr Museveni was addressing over 2000 people who had turned up for the grand fundraising to complete the construction of the St.Augustine’s church Barogole in Lira town on Saturday where he donated over one hundred million shillings to support the building. Read the rest of this entry »

Hon Angiro clashes with police over arrest of suspected child molesters

Lira NGO to suspend operations over demo

Young people advised to save for the future

The youth in northern Uganda should develop a culture of saving if they are to become economically empowered.

Lira district LC5 chairman arrested over alleged fraud

Police from Kampala over the weekend arrested Lira district LC5 chief Franco Ojur (right) over an allegation of mismanaging Northern Uganda Social Action Funds.
