A business woman murdered in Lira

Police in Lira have arrested over 20 suspected people and release orders murdered case that a business woman identified as Dorcus Acola was killed in senior Quota B Lira Municipality opposite Lira Barrack.

Officer in charge Crime in Lira Central Police Station assistant Superintendent of police Ocaya Marino said the suspects were charged with murder and their file ref number is CRB 1861/2008

Dorcus Acola daughter to Emanuel Amute of Ongo ceng Parish Aduku Sub County was a business lady that transacted business from Lira to Juba occasionally.

Soldiers were among the suspects. The ‘panga’ or knife that was believed to have been use for killing Acola was recovered in a house that belonging to a soldier who was a boyfriend of Ms Acola.

Reports have it that Ms Achola had been seen at the border of Uganda and Sudan with a lot of money estimated at about 10m shillings.
