Dokolo Technical School is the only technical school in Uganda to qualify for shs 1.7 billion loan from the African Development Bank, according to the headmaster Moses Ogwal. “The money which is already in the school’s account will be used for various constructions”, he said.
The school earned its reputable status through excellence in academic performance and discipline among its students.
Ogwal said Dokolo Technical School started in 1980 and offers five courses: carpentry and joinery, block laying and concrete practice, Tailoring and garment cutting, moto vehical technician, and tropical agriculture.
Ogwal also said following very good performance in UNEB and UJTC exams in the past years and strike-free education, the Ministry of Education & Sports rewarded the school with twenty sewing machines and Shs 24.950.000m grant for purchase of tools and equipments.
