Dokolo Resident District Commissioner Ruth Adupa has said that high level of fire accidents is the greatest security concern in the district.
Adupa says some residents, mostly women, have embarked on burning others’ houses in rivalry over men.
Recently arsonists burnt to ashes offices of the headmaster of Dokolo Technical School, destroying vital academic documents and a court ruling is slated for July 8th 2008 against the suspects.
RDC Adupa revealed that reports from teachers indicate that some school girls aged between 13 to 14 years are escaping from school to meet their defilers at the expense of classroom lessons.
Dokolo District Education Officer Ms Tamali Edinyo says the district has launched a campaign to eradicate early sexual engagements and other criminal activities among the youths in the district.
