Apac, April 13, 2008: APAC Chief Administrative Officer, Stanley Adrabo has advised heads of department and sub county authorities to ensure effective accountability of public funds.
Addressing heads of department including sub county chiefs last Thursday, Adrabo said that officers who fraudulently divert public funds would be punished. He said that there was a dire need for civil servants to effectively implement government programmes.
The CAO said that all development projects be handled with care and transparency. He said that prompt and efficient accountability would enhance further releases of funds into the district.
The CAO encouraged political and civil leaderships to have team spirit so that development activities are vibrantly implemented.
